As part of the overall renovation of ERGO Insurance’s building complex at 173 Syngrou Avenue, the redesign of the 6th floor of Building K1 was completed, housing the headquarters of EUSOSOS Assistance.
The architectural concept focuses on creating a contemporary, flexible, and efficient working environment that balances transparency and privacy. The new layout includes enclosed executive offices with glazed partitions that allow visual continuity with the rest of the workspace, complemented by shading systems in areas requiring increased privacy. At the same time, the well-organized open-plan layout enhances teamwork and interdepartmental collaboration.
At the center of the floor plan, a “core” of shared facilities has been developed, incorporating meeting rooms, soundproof booths, printing stations, and archive areas, efficiently organizing daily workflows. To accommodate employees’ personal storage needs, lockers have been placed at two strategic points on the floor.
Particular emphasis was placed on acoustic performance, as the floor accommodates the company’s call center. The use of glass partitions combined with sound-absorbing finishes contributes to the creation of a quiet and focused working environment. Within the open-plan area, small seating corners have been integrated for brief meetings, while an open acoustic booth provides space for short conversations.
The dining and break area is located adjacent to the outdoor space and is organized with sofas and a large communal table, suitable for both everyday use and larger gatherings. Finally, planted surfaces and planters integrated throughout the design act as subtle visual dividers while enhancing user well-being, embracing the principles of biophilic design.
