Residential Complex in Vouliagmeni

This residential complex in Vouliagmeni consists of three independent dwellings on a 750 m² plot, designed as a composition of two main symmetrical volumes connected by a narrow vertical element that houses the shared staircase.

The architectural synthesis of the façade is defined by balconies with integrated planting and water features, creating serene outdoor spaces for relaxation. Above, a pergola structure with vertical elements lends imposing appearance to the building’s façade and enhances the special character of the composition.

On the lateral elevations, the geometry of the building is enriched through recesses and projections that create planted balconies and add depth and plasticity to the form, while allowing for a more flexible organization of interior spaces.

At the ground level, a self-contained residence develops on the entire floor, while the upper levels accommodate two additional residences. The landscape design emphasizes privacy and quality of living, with lush planting surrounding the swimming pool located at the rear of the plot — a position selected for optimal orientation and seclusion. At the front, which faces the north, tree planting introduces the character of a soft urban garden, enhancing the building’s relationship with its surroundings.

The roofscape is composed of a hip roof over each volume, while the central roof zone will accommodate photovoltaic panels and/or solar collectors, contributing to the complex’s energy autonomy and sustainability through the use of renewable energy sources.

The architectural approach embraces principles of integration, proportion, and environmental sensitivity, resulting in a design that satisfies aesthetic, functional, and ecological criteria. The careful composition of volumes, the graduated articulation of façades, and the considered selection of materials and forms all serve a consistent vision of harmonious integration within the landscape and the creation of optimal living conditions.
