The description concerns the construction of a kiosk for the company D. Koronakis s.a. for the exhibition "Poseidonia" held at the Metropolitan Expo, Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" in Spata Attica.
The central idea came from the raw material which is the rope. Emphasis was also placed on the element of the professional sector in which the company operates, which is shipping and more specifically navigation.
The curved construction structure creates a central axis that divides the pavilion into two parts, but at the same time creates the impressive image with the construction created on the upper side of the wall by placing a hollow beam frame with 3 rows of ropes hanging on its front face. wall.
In the pavilion, in addition to the open space, two other closed spaces are created at the back, for storage and meetings, which are connected by screws to the curved wall.
Emphasis was also placed on the decorative details such as the stands for the rope samples, the reception and information desk -lit internally-, the lamp above the desk (custom made) in a shape reminiscent of the classic ship and the column with the locations located outside.
